P5 along with P6 had a very enjoyable visit to Navan Fort where they had a poetry workshop with resident poet Maura Johnson. The theme for this year's poetry competition is Freedom. The children learnt lots from Maura and will now write their poems in school. They also took part in a mock trial and met a Viking and examined his weaponery. It was a great visit and we hope to write some excellent poetry now in class.
