Primary 5 and Primary 6 attend poetry event.
The children from Primary 5 and Primary 6 recently attended the Navan Centre in Armagh where they learned about changes over time.
They were greeted by a cross teacher from the Victorian era. They saw how life had changed in school and at home and how fortunate they are in today's world.
After that they visited a Viking who showed them how language had evolved, as well as spears and Shields.
On their return indoors, they attended a poetry workshop where they discussed imagery.
They will, over the next few days, be writing their own poems about change to enter a Navan Centre run competition. We would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best for it.
