Primary 3's visit to Bryson House.
In our 'World around us' we are learning all about recycling so we decided to visit the recycling facility, Bryson House to find out more. Our trip was fascinating! We found out that you could recycle lots of rubbish, even batteries and gardening tools. We all had to guess how many tins were squashed into one bundle. Cara correctly guessed 11,000..Wow that was an enormous amount! Well done Cara. We all received a pencil made out of recycled paper. It was also amazing to find out that all our recycled plastic is taken to another factory to be made into drainage tubes for farmers and all our cardboard is sent to another factory to be made into egg cartons. But we must remember to rinse our tins and milk cartons out so it's not too smelly a place to work!
