Colours of the Rainbow - A Science experiment
25th Mar 2025
Recently the children in our school took part in science week. One experiment the P6 class did was to discover how the rainbow is formed and how they could put the colours of the rainbow back together again to create clear light.
In order to do this they had to make spinners. The spinners were then coloured with the different colours of the rainbow. When these were spun quickly, the colours went back together again to form clear light.
The children learned that the rainbow is formed when light is bent.
