P5 enjoyed their trip to Tesco in Newry where they learnt all about different foods and where they come from. They also tasted several different types of cheese (smokey bacon was the favourite), different breads from the bakery where they examined the huge ovens and a very quick visit to the freezer (-30degrees). They also got to check out the fish counter and got to hold several types of fish and we got to watch a fish being filleted! Finally they picked some fruit from the shelves and along with this fruit Cailina(our guide) cut up strawberries, pineapple and several other types of fruit. We really enjoyed our visit.
